While they're kinda spendy, the Microtech Gefell KEM-970 is a very effective solution.

Here is a link to a .pdf on them http://www.a-d.it/files_pdf/microtechgefell/Small%20Membrane %20Transistor%20Mics/KEM970.pdf

I have used these mics in several applications from spoken word to music and have found them to be an invaluable tool.

Peace.

What I'm looking for is a resource for teaching novice performers -- and even some "seasoned pros" -- proper microphone technique. (Keep in mind they will just be confused with terms like dynamic, cardioid, and propagation.) In fact, I could probably learn something from it, too.

Any suggestions?

Did you just seriously recommend a $12000 mic as a solution to the OP?  Rolling Eyes

I'm not sure our entire church building is worth that much.  Shocked
