About 2 or 3 years ago, one of my bands was holding auditions for singers. One arrived with a mic and in ear monitoring kit, all wireless, and I think it was all in the same transmitter/receiver. I thought, wow, this is great...... but I may have misunderstood.

From what I recall, the guy had controls for hearing the mic (his voice), plus ambient sound (from a mic inside the belt pack).

Now if this actually exists, I will push my band singers to get one and stop bugging me about changing levels on monitors during a performance.
