D&B Q-Series angle confusion
« on: October 09, 2006, 05:04:34 AM »

Hi guys,

we couldn't use our normal venue yesterday and had to take all our gear to a hotel in London. We normally use Q-Series speakers in 2 ground stacks as the seating is steeply tiered, but at this venue it was flat, so we tried flying 2 stacks of Q1/Q7s. I used the D&B provided Q-calc software to work out the box angles and frame angle required, but we then realised we didn't know what hole to mount the bracket on the flying frame to get an angle of 6 degrees! We took a guess at it being 2 in front of the middle, and thankfully, it looked right! phew.

But how do we work it out properly?!! Is there some table that shows which hole corresponds to which angle?

Thanks, Mark

I think you would have to look in the manual of the speaker for that kind of information.
