due to the lack of budget,
but i don't know exactly where to buy a good component speaker

You need to go to your profile, edit it and use your real name (per board rules).

Then we can perhaps help.

Just adding a sub will help a little, but without a crossover (passive or active) you will get the sub attempting to do full frequency.

For what a middle of the read speaker costs you can get a Behringer subwoofer 18" B1800X for about $250 total. I have used these and they are not that bad for the cost.

What are you adding the sub for? (IE: What are you hoping to accomplish with the addition?) Some sound systems can reproduce lows if EQ'd properly. subs will give more punch to the bottom, but if not is you do not have a crossover, you are not getting the full effect.

By purchasing this box, you do not have to design a cabinet.

actually,
that speaker is one of our options,
but still,
we figured that it wouldn't match our
existing speaker (2 yamaha speakers with 500w nominal each)
we plan to get two 1000w sub woofers,
and buying an active crossover is already on our budget,
but ofcourse,
we would do anything to keep the exoenses low...

With one exception, the prospects of finding a workable subwoofer enclosure design and then building it are very slim. This is not a trivial task. While you may have unlimited time to invest, history has shown that very few folks succeed at this and they often spend more money than if they simply bought a factory built device.

Here at ProSoundWeb we are fortunate to have had an ace loudspeaker system designer provide a design for a do-it-yourself subwoofer that became known as the "LAB Sub". We even have a separate section here for this project. Check it out.

I suspect that it may be too large for the system you plan to use it with. And it may be too complicated a construction project for you.

Your call.

I agree with Tom.  I'm not sure of the logic that makes so many people think that they can build a speaker equivalent to a professionally manufactured speaker and do it for less.  Perhaps it is simply the thought that their time is free and this free labor will offset the savings a manufacturer gets through more efficient manufacturing and purchasing arrangements.  But read through the many related threads here and on the Live Sound forum and you'll see that building your own speakers often does not equate to any real cost savings.  The common story is that the two or three attempts it often takes to get a practical result provides little savings or even higher costs than just buying a manufactured product.

There are cases where there is simply no manufactured speakers that fit the specific needs and one certainly should consider the benefits of learning while you build it, the simple pleasure of building something and the satisfaction of doing it yourself.  These are good justifications for attempting ot build your own speaker.  But cost savings is probably not and the fact is that while it may seem that limited budgets can't accommodate a manufactured speaker, they can probably even less afford the potential problems with a do-it-yourself approach.

ok then,
but here's the whole story...
i'm from the philippines and i'm the current
sound tech of our church,
i'm not trained or what so ever,
i just learn from what i read..
and i'm only 18,

now,
my church is just a local church in the philippines,
and just as i mentioned,
we're not financially ready to upgrade
our sound system, that's why i'm doing everything
i can to purchase one with minimum cost, like
constructing my own sub and solicitation to
international branches,

we have 2 yamaha speakers, i think the model is
sv115, which are driven by an underpowered 300w amp,
that's why we need to replace that,
and we plan to buy a pair of subwoofer,
crossover, 31 band eq, an amp for the sub,
and a monitor set for the drumset(another sub).

our budget is around 200,000 philippine peso or
4000$ only,
and there's no way for me to upgrade
our church's sound system with that amount of money
if i'll be choosing from jbl, electrovoice and
yamaha...
