Yamaha DM2000v2 GEQ editor

I am fairly new to the mixing scene (3 years) and I have difficulty with EQ'ing.  I am wondering what the best settings for the GEQ are.

Not to sound ugly, but the best settings for any eq is what is needed for the particular application.  Is it loudspeaker alignment, feedback control, tone control etc.

There are no generiac all purpose settings for eq. Although Yamaha would like for you to think so.  Short of knocking out the lows on various inputs.  It all depends on the particular loudspeakers being used, type of microphone, use of microphone, acoustic signature of the room and the band etc.
