Well I tried ProPresenter. For displaying purposes it will work OK. I don't like its "Presentation" interface - we move around a song list alot and having to find a song quickly is a must. Once you are in a song, the slide based view is OK.

What I really disliked is how new songs are entered. I tried several methods including the recommended method (from renewed vision) for importing songs from Song Select (copy to clipboard, use New Song from Clipboard). The result was a slide created for each line of the song. Most of the time I want a "slide" per Verse or Chorus - not a slide for each line. So, a song that was normally 4 or 5 slides ended up being 28 slides. I do not have the time or patience to do this much "editing" when I can easily download songs into MediaShout or SongShowPlus with little to no changes or extra time. Unless their is a better way (I asked this at the enewed vision Propresenter forum - which only has a couple of entries in it and no response so far)?

This may be somewhat a personal preference - but is high on my list due to the "time" element.

Got the solution for everything. A program called Live Worship. This program was made from the lack of easy to use programs. It was developed from the users point of view. Greatest thing is that it is cross platform compatible. It can be loaded on either MAC or PC. Very easy to use. The editor window is built into the workspace so no having to switch between windows to make changes. I highly recommend this program over Songshow Plus. I have used songshow for years and I was getting sick of it crashing and all of its short comings. Liveworship is very seamless on a MAC I have not run into any problems at all. http://www.liveworship.com is where you can find it and with a price tag of only $300 dollars there isn't a better choice on the market. If you have any further questions about the software you can email me at scottsoundman@gmail.com. Try the trail version of the software and see what you think.

I recently downloaded it, put the demo through its paces, transferred songs/programs between a Mac and PC - did it all seamlessly.

CCLI Songselect importing is a bit clumsier than SSP (have to edit some stuff), BUT I want the Mac capability and the price is right.

One other area - crossfading between slides works well until you have a slide with a background video - than transitions don't work. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future release.

Hey Bob,

I use Propresenter for all of our video playback needs. The new Pro is amazing it is better than any other software out as far as im concerned. To move slides around all you need to do is  apple ,click and drag them where you want them.

Thanks,
