Church Studio
« on: June 01, 2006, 02:02:14 PM »

Hey everyone I really need your help on this one! I'm working with at a pastor's recording studio and have encountered some problems. We have an Mackie Onix 80 series 32 channels console and an Alesis ADAT-HD24 Digital Recorder. The Alesis recorder has 24 tracks to record. What we would like to do is to have 16 imput channels coming from the Mackie board that would go into the Alesis Digital Recorder and then use the other 16 channels on the mixer for mixing once we have recorded the channels into the recorder. Does anyone knows how we can accomplish this task. We know how to send the imput channels from the mixer to the recorder, but not from the recorder to our mixer. The recorder has 24 inputs and 24 outputs, ethernet ports and an ADAT synch. I really need your help so I thank you in advace!

If the Mackie has direct/line inputs on each channel, you should just connect to those.
