good value IEMs
« on: April 09, 2011, 10:49:42 AM »

I'm wanting to upgrade from my psm700 to a newer version of IEMs but there are so many choices I thought I'd get some expert opinions as far as value and dependability and at least as good as my 700s what's out there? ;)

Between the Sennheiser G2/G3 and the Psm900, you will not be disappointed. I bought a few channels of PSM900 and every single artist has been blown away. YMMV

I work for a Shure endorsed artist. They have had  psm900's on tour for almost a year with no issues.
They sound good, the rf works great, and the packs are light.

Any more? audio technica, mipro, line 6, others out there worth the investment and are the 900s far superior to the 700s?

That depends, are you filling riders? Are you using them for your band to play pubs/clubs? Im sure the AT stuff works fine, but I would never buy something that I had to convince an artist it was as good as XYZ, even if it was.

And the 900s are FAR superior to the 700s.

NO it is for the use of a regional act only. looking to maintain a decent quality in ear system we we're about to purchase new IEMs . Looking for good quality and value there is a wide price range. Just looking at options and thought I'd see what you guys thought would be some options thanks for any of your input.

The 900's are way better than the 700's.

If you can wait 2-3 months, the PSM 1000 allegedly starts shipping. Adds Wireless Workbench integration, diversity reception, tighter filtering (maybe more, can't remember) to the 900 platform.
