Why wouldn’t they be ok?

It’s not just Trump it’s the Republican National Convention.  That’s a very prestigious event.

I wasn't there and I have an alibi....

The last time I did an event with a former president I felt very safe, there was an agent 3 feet from me.

I feel weird:

- not two minutes before it happened, I posted about Richard Simmons passing

- Less than 10 minutes before it happened, I msg'd a friend of mine about (something security related at political events that once you know it it's hard to un-see).

He replied later "did you see what happened?!?"

Bullet hit a hydraulic line of the telehandler that was flying the PA.

Link didn't work for me but then it's just another reason why OSHA frowns on live loads on shooting boom lifts over crowds. Not sure why Trumps audio contractors are routinely getting away with this configuration but it's been going on for a while.
