I know it’s never safe to assume but based on this alone, is it safe to say it’s the same regarding the x80 and running on 120 is not an option?
The preliminary product information sheet for the ULTRA-X80/82 is up on Meyer's website.  Under the AC Power section it lists the following:

     Operating Voltage Range     200 – 240 V AC, 50 or 60 Hz

The preliminary data sheet doesn't list the current draw, or include a number of other specifications that Meyer usually includes, so I suppose that the operating voltage range could change when the final details are published, but as of now, the X80/82 cannot run on 120 volts.

To be fair this seems like a lot of box for a 120v situation.

For situations that would warrant the SPL of the X80 instead of the X40, I would presume there are going to be some more robust power options anyway, as either it is a larger venue or there is hopefully some generator power - especially as having the requisite number of subs to keep up is probably NOT happening on one or two 120v circuits!  ;)

Measure twice, and cut once; this is especially important if you are a mohel.
