Finally got to put my new Danley amp through its paces....

A quick note on the limiter meters. Don't be afraid to "light them up" a bit. They are very sensitive and give a false sense of how much limiting is actually going on (that you can sonically hear).
As I have often said "As long as the limiter leds are off more than then are on-you will be fine" (on the DNA amps). Above that point is where you can start to hear a bit of pumping. But that is still FAR better than letting the smoke out of the cabinets.

Thanks Ivan. Yes agreed - compared to some of the older heavy duty amps the DNA is a joy.
I bet I had a good amount to go on the DNA but just didn't need it for this show.....looking forward to really opening it up!

I had a feeling I was leaving something on the table with the PS amps in regards to volume and this confirms that - the reason I made the investment in the DNA amp.
I also like having an old fashioned on/off switch on the DNA compared to the soft button on the PS amp - just a preference thing.
The controls on the amps are equally easy to access.
The DNA amp is HEAVY - LOL. so takes some getting used to. This thing is a beast!. The PS amps are stupid lightweight and having 2 x 2 channel means I could separate them into small racks making them even easier to carry. BUT it's not like we have many racks of amps to worry about so this is not an issue.
I sold one PS amp and kept the other so I always have a good quality back up amp. Having the 2 PS amps gave me built in redundancy if one went down at a show so I never carried a spare but now I don't have that luxury and my only other amp is my Crown XLS 2000 I've kept all these years. So bringing a back up amp makes sense.
So now I have the DNA amp to use with the TH118s and the SM80s, I finally feel whole- LOL

YES! It was hot as snot out there but I had a blast running the sound.
