Andy Broughton solved his Ubi issues by boxing it all back up and returning to the place of purchase.
Keith...but , yes, I gave up. :(

Well, nuts. Same kind of issues, Keith? I have a Microtik Metal on order per recommendations here, but...sheesh, I'd like to not keep throwing money at this issue.

I gave up on my Metal, I'm surprised it's still here in my unresolved projects pile.

My guess is both devices exceed our ability to comprehend some of the choices required in configuration.  I'm certain that's the issue with me and the Metal and whatever OS is in it from 5 years ago.

I had it all setup and working at home then took it to a gig and could not get iPad to connect to unit.
This was my second time with a Ubiquity product and spent too much of my life trouble shooting.
When I reach for a tool I want it to work.
Ubiquity "help" was useless.
I use a cheap a$$ Dlink and it ALWAYS works, just not as good a range.

Keith, not sure what to say, they work as advertised as does the linking.

I know what to say..."no more Ubiquity for me"
That said, I'm going to try a TP Link product. Just to see if I can beat my head against a different wall  :o

It's got to be something about how it is configured, right? This facet of it feels to me like the key to debugging.

AP.png (attached) is what the Ubi AP shows when I am connected to it. The other image (ROUTER.png) is what an old TPLink router, without any connection to the internet, appears on the same iPad.

It's got to be something about the way the AP is configured that is confusing iOS.

Well, it wouldn't let me attach both, so here's the AP.png again.

Just a pic of your connection state.

Not necessarily a config issue either.

Not necessarily a config issue either.

But that connection state never resolves itself, which seems odd to me. Unfortunately, Ubiquiti support still hasn’t gotten back to me.
