Thank you Diogo Nunes Pereira
« on: April 12, 2024, 05:49:24 PM »

It's rare these days to have someone on your crew with a tremendous skill set and is just an aboslute pleasure to be around for 14 days straight. I just had the phenomenally good fortune of working with Diogo in Barcelona on a large corporate and he was our audio vendor RF guy, though I actually contacted him about this job before the vendor did. Such is his reputation there the French audio vendor uses him frequently and called him to do this show as well. What could be better.

He was invaluable to not just me, but to our two RF A2's handling execs, setting them up their iPads with a remote cue station to QC through their comms as mic'ing took place. Once set up and in tech mode (and basically sitting around a good deal) we had RF sessions, Streamdeck and BitFocus sessions and dug a bit deep into Wisycom gear. Before this however, he hung a bunch of antennas over a large area (120 meters) and ran a not insignificant amount of coax and fiber . . . on the truss . . . after it was erected at height (he's lift certified). All of this with grace, aplomb, and a smile.  I'm sorry I didn't get to take him to dinner; I owe you Diogo.

If you're ever in Barcelona, hell, anywhere in Europe, and need an audio, comms or RF guy, you would be doing yourself and your production a disservice by not having Diogo on your team.

Thank you again Diogo. It was a great time.

Henry,

I'm very grateful for your kind and generous words. I was the one feeling fortunate with the opportunity of working together with you, and I am deeply satisfied with the way it all worked out, for you, for me and for our clients.

Thank YOU for always sharing your knowledge and being a lighthouse of wisdom on this forums (and on site). Over the years I've read many dozens of posts from you, and my understanding of RF wouldn't be the same without this space you help moderate and enlighten. I'm very happy the production schedule allowed us talk for hours and dig deep on RF, fiber, filters, VNA's and what not... I felt I could always keep on asking, and you were always there, happy to give back.

I`m sorry we didn't get a picture together. Dinner and that we need to take care on the next one.

Be safe, thank you again for the call and your kind words.

Cheers,

Diogo

That’s some high praise from a highly-regarded member of this forum and the event production community!

Great job, Diogo! May your good reputation ever precede you.

Diogo Henry’s knowledge of RF is beyond encyclopedic.

I have spent my life  in both production and land/mobile the day I spent with Henry was quite the learning opportunity.

He is also one of the finest people and a wonderful hang.
