Peter Janis, formerly of Radial Engineering (and Cabletek before that), passed away last week after a battle with cancer.

My association with his company goes back to the 1990s, when I bought some Jensen JT-DB-E transformers and rolled my own JDIs (before it was a product). Another encounter in the late '90s after a ordering mishap with some multi-pair cables, illustrated how adept he was at recognizing a business problem and solving it to the satisfaction of all the parties. He was not much older than I am, much too young to be gone.

That's a shame, and indeed too young.
Peter was very helpful to me when I needed specific gear, and working with him and the others at Radial was a good experience. He'll be missed.
