midas fx question
« on: September 23, 2023, 12:22:59 AM »

I'm trying to set two different eq settings on the dual 31 band eq. When I set up a preset in the library all goes well but when I go to load the preset both A & B sides of the eq end up with the same settings.   I'm trying to shorten up the time ringing out my wedges by pre setting up my mikes eq to the wedge. this is on a m32.

Is the eq set to "Stereo" or "Dual Mono"? I realize it has to be in dual mono to make 2 separate adjustments, but I was wondering if you were using more than one eq or if the safety was set to stereo.

Do you have the A/B link set on the EQ by mistake? Also I would suggest that you use the Dual TruEQ version at least give it a try. The end results are more like what you would get if you used a Parametric EQ the filters blend together better.

If you are trying to ring out the monitors as a preset, use the PEQ and leave the graphic flat. Then if you need a quick adjustment on-gig, use the graphic.
