Looking for an Antenna for my TTI
« on: September 13, 2023, 01:31:09 PM »

I want to get a small passive directional antenna to connect to my TTI for when I want to chase down rogue RF transmitter signals. Professional Wireless used to have one but it's discontinued. Anyone know where I may be able to procure a new or used directional antenna?

How small are you talking? A Sennheiser A2003 is fairly compact.

Other options:
Telex ALP450 in a slightly funky shape
Telex ALP620
Wisycom LBNA2

The other thing too, is the smaller the antenna elements, the less directional it gets..... generally ....

+1. Note that if you go with the Telex antennas you will need TNC adapters to whatever cable you're going into your TTI with.

Yes the 450 antenna is a TNC connection, the 620 is a BNC

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I like the Sennheiser. I might be able to get a used Shure UA874US. That could work, couldn't it? I'd just patch it directly into the TTI & it would be passive.
