DBX Driverack PA+ Custom Setup with Lows Mids Highs
« on: August 22, 2023, 08:55:32 PM »

Hello!

I've found a lot of material online for setting up speakers & subs via custom settings with lows and highs in passive mode.

Any recommendations in setting up a DBX Driverack for custom speakers with tops that have highs and mids separate and subs utilizing all outputs: Lows, mids, highs  in the Driverack PA+?

From what I've read I'd choose the bi-amp option for the speakers? I have 3 amps. Each powering the lows mids and highs separately

Speakers:

Mid range horn: Down to 200hz - 350hz cross over point

High range horn: 2k horn - 5k cross over point

For the sub I'd assume I'd set to 200 and below?

Any tips on setting these up in the DBX correctly?

1. Make sure you're using your REAL name on your account, or the thread will be locked.

2. Custom speakers means to get it right you need to custom measure their performance to get it right.  Nobody is going to be able to tell you the exact settings without knowing EXACTLY what your have, what the design is, and how things are implemented.  You can get a rough guess, which you've already done, but beyond that, it's pretty impossible to get much closer.

This is one of those areas where if you have to ask the basic questions, you probably won't have the resources available to do it 'right'. Best you'll be able to do is play by ear and see if it sounds acceptable to you.

What kind of speakers/drivers are the lows, mids and highs?
Models and size.
