Yamaha DHR12M soft covers ? what's your choice.
« on: August 16, 2023, 11:28:25 AM »

Hello all,

I just saw that the price dropped on the Yamaha DHR12M floor monitors. I have the itch and may have to pick up 2 or 3.
My question is for current owners, What covers are you using , and would you buy the same covers again ?  Does YAMAHA have factory covers for this speaker ??

Best Rgrds,

Todd

I have mine in Connie's Covers (you can find her on EBay) which are essentially covers made from moving blanket material. I love both the monitors and the covers.

I have some Connies Cover's , I am looking for something a little more substantial / weather resistant. Including zippers or velcro straps to hold the cover in place.

Thank you for your response,

I've been selling the DHR12Ms with Studio Slips clamshell gigbags. They aren't the cheapest option but they are a nicely fitted full zippered padded bag. Studio Slips is close to me which is of benefit as a dealer.

I happen to own a few DHR12M's with Studio Slips clamshell covers/bags, purchased through Mr Pyle and am very happy with them (and Mike's service). They do an excellent job protecting the speakers, and if rain is a threat, I can leave them in place under the speakers for quick deployment.

I also have studio slips clamshell bags for several other boxes and can report they hold up very well to years of hard use.
