Miniature USB sticks with activity light
« on: June 09, 2023, 11:29:26 PM »

I'm looking for a (physically) tiny USB flash drive that has an activity light. I've seen them before, but when I ask people where they got them, they never remember.
Don't see any on amazon, so maybe someone knows a brand or seller that has some?
Just so I'm clear, I'm talking about the tiny ones that look like the SanDisk Cruiser Fit.

I can't remember the brand off hand, but I got some at Staples that would live in the console usb port without any chance of getting shorn off. I'll see if I can jog my memory or that of the engineer who is on tour with that desk atm.

And it had an activity LED?

I have a couple of those Cruzer Fits I've had for maybe ten years and I could have sworn they had activity lights on them. I'll have to find mine and check. No idea where they are right now though! lol

Yes. The end cap was translucent with a blue led behind. I'm 99% sure it was a SanDisk Cruzer. I'll try to check in with the tour crew who have the desk tomorrow.

My mistake. Made by Lexar. I think it was a "Jump Drive" model. 32GB with activity light. Can't find it on their website but it was purchased a few years back.

While everyone is looking, I need a USB Drive that is similar to the Sandisk Cruzer Fit mentioned here but direct USB-C.
-would like to leave one permanently in my MacBook Pro and not have it ripped out every time it goes in and out of its case.
(or any other practical way to increase disk space on the non-upgradeable models)

Also looking for a USB-C short cable (6 to 10-inch) that has a 90deg sideways connector on at least one end.
