So far Shure has described the issue as “power supply”. This week we’re moving the receivers away from the heat source.

Failure to power up again after having been on for a long time is an extremely common failure mode in switching power supplies.
The actual failure occurs when a small-ish electrolytic capacitor (often around 47uf) in the front end of the PS circuit goes high ESR (effective series resistance), which impairs its high frequency response. Because this cap is only in play when the supply starts up, they can run for years with no problem, as long as they're not powered off.
This is why devices that are on 24/7/365 often don't come back up after a power failure.

I received the new power supplies today from Shure for my 2 AD4Q receivers which stopped working in late May.  The power supplies were on back ordered.

The good news is, that fixed the problem.  As I mentioned before, other than having to remove a LOT of screws, this is a real easy do it yourself fix.  There is no good reason to send the whole unit back to Shure.  All's good for now.

I "Shure" hope this doesn't happen again, but I did order a couple spares just in case.

You are going to use a drill driver with no torque clutch and a 200W motor on small screws, great way to tear shit up.

Something more reasonable, I have had great luck with the brand I have listed below.

I have a precision screwdriver with a digital torque gauge that you can preset the torque.  It's very useful because many procedures list torque settings.
