Voice Recorder or Boundary Mic for wireless presentation?

Scott Helmke:
What's nice about a recorder is that people don't tend to assume they need to walk up and shout into it until they hear their voice booming out of a speaker somewhere.

Or the opposite problem.  When people hear themselves through the sound reinforcement system they will back away from the mic, or with a handheld wireless drop it to their waist, so it won't be loud enough to hear!
