Al Rettich:
Hey guys, spent a good chunk of today searching for mic stands that mount to either a drum rack or cymbal stand to hold mics for hi hat and overheads. Wondering if y’all know of anything I didn’t find. Thank you in advance.

Claws work great. They have many models. They fit on most any percussion instrument such as bongo's or other oversize percussion. They also clamp to a cymbal stand.

From a previous discussion on this topic here, I bought one of these to try out:

They work great for clamping to cymbal stands and may work on a drum rack depending on the size of the tubing. Special bonus feature; they are a one piece clam shell design so you can't back the screw out too far and end up with two pieces in your hands while kneeling down in the dark under a drum kit. Really well made too.

This makes me wonder why we don't see more Manfrotto style "Magic Arm" style solutions in audio. Knockoffs are very common and some are actually quite good and the real Manfrotto arms are amazing. I see them used for antennas and such, but all you need is a thread adapter like is on the stand you listed and you can use any of this hardware for drum mics or whatever else.
