Seismic Audio VRX clone?
« on: January 10, 2023, 12:36:28 PM »

https://www.seismicaudiospeakers.com/collections/live-sound/products/powered-line-array-system-18-inch-subwoofer-four-12-inch-line-array-speakers-and-mounting-frame
Was just browsing aimlessly and stumbled upon this, kinda popped in my head recalling the VRX thread talk in the LAB.

I have no actual knowledge of the SA units but, it is my understanding that Harmon/JBL/Samsung licensed the VRX technology/design to Turbosound/Music Tribe for the Berlin Tbv123.  It may not be exclusive.

I like the "Bundle and Save" package further down the page, which includes the line array system, a $15 15 foot 1/4" cable and a $179.99 5 Channel 1100 Watt Class D Car Amplifier.  Pretty much sums up everything you need to know about SA.

My bundle was different.... Line array + $89.99 for a pair of white 6.5" car audio speakers + $16.99 microphone shock mount holder.

Damn I'm lucky, I got the line array + 2 of the 5 inch array speakers + premium RCA cable (for the DJ).

Except it won't sell, because the people looking at the Seismic brand have never heard of Danley, and they don't look like 'line arrays'.

I've been watching SA for awhile now... they are certainly catering toward a specific demographic.  I will never get anything from SA, though, I do like to peruse their website to see what they are peddling.

Man I really do miss that funny SA video where the guy talks about "slowing down the frequencies". That is a classic.

I have a Seismic Audio 8 space rack... Sound great and loud as hell :-)

True story but I really think it is the QSC amp that makes it loud :-)

Most musicians who use amplifiers usually utilize bridged or mono modes on their amplifier for the best sounds. Mono mode is most common, unless you are running subwoofers too. Mono mode on your amplifier is used with one input but two outputs.

If necessary, you can also use your amplifier in stereo mode, but this mode more frequently used by DJs. Regardless, get an amplifier and amp up your concerts. You will rock. We know you will.

LOL this is one of their quotes on the site.  I guess I need to start bridging my amps for the best sounds!  I don't want to be relegated to DJ status!!
