I am currently running 2 TurboSound IQ12s with a pair of IQ15B Subs.

I also have 5 Turbosound IQ10s, 1 of which has been down 2 years waiting for a replacement driver.

I want to to basically double my front end for larger shows but I just dont have enough confidence in Musictribe to continue down the Turbosound path.

I am  looking for a upgrade to more Prosumer level speakers, wooden cabinets particularly.

So far I am looking at EX ETX 12ps primarily (then add the 15" subs later on)

What else should I be looking at, Yahama DZR? If so, will the Yamaha work ok with my Current TS stuff?

As I said my hopes are anything i buy will be able to work with my Current set up.

I should add I am mixing small bands in bars primarily with the odd outdoor or hall show which is where i need more dispersion generally.

Yamaha DZR and DSR (if you can find them) both get a lot of love here.
I can tell you I jumped from IQ12s to DSR112s and could not be happier.

I think your sub is the weaker link in the chain though.  I tried the IQ15 and IQ18 subs and just thought they were - meh.
JBL SRX have been my choice of subs (718, 728...and the 818/828 get a lot of great reviews too).

I have found the DSRs and a single SRX728 sub in the middle is just glorious.
I have pushed that system pretty hard and it never flinches.

SRX812/815s have also gotten a lot of positive reviews as well.
You can also never go wrong with RCF gear (IMO).

I mixed on DZR15s recently and loved the higher end clarity, its really what cemented my mind on the move, I think maybe I am too stuck on the idea of a brand matched system..No way I can do Dual 18 subs at these places, I need single woofer subs, I would like to move to 18s but weight is a factor, I deal with alot of stairs on gigs.

The Yamaha DXS subs are pretty decent for compact subs if you’re trying to stick to one brand. Really wish Yamaha made a killer 2x18. Would compliment the DZR line nicely.

db tech Ingenia's ...  I have IG3T's  are not cheap but are very good.  They run rings around my DSR-112's.  1 pair easily keep up with 4 kw-181 subs.

Not sure how those would pair with my current set up, I bit the bullet and ordered the DZR12s, their canadian warehouse is in town and that seemed like another tick in their favour for parts/service.

I've been quite happy with my DZR12s. I hope you will, too.

A band I hired over the summer for an outdoor gig used a single Yamaha DXS15XLF sub, centered in front of the stage, along with a pair of DXR12 tops. The single 15" sub performed MUCH better than I anticipated. Perhaps you can audition the sub?

Mixing different manufacturers between subs and tops can work nicely but I wouldn't recommend mixing between the tops. I wouldn't even recommend mixing same manufacturer but different models among tops.
My current travel rig is 1 per side QSC K12.2s over QSC KS118s. My house gig is 2 per side K12.2s flown sided by side from the ceiling and 1 per side KS118 on the floor. The only reason for 2 tops per side is the club does a fair amount of Death/Thrash/GravelMouth Metal and (for whatever reason) it's important to get the vocals over the band. Even though the tops match, they aren't designed physically or tuning-wise to be paired and there is a fair amount of comb filtering and other phase issues. For shows that are not metal, I leave the inside pair off.
I really like the sound, size and weight of the rig, especially the KS118s but wish QSC made a double 12" version of the K12.2s. I am expecting to need a bigger rig within a year and am currently looking at the new JBL stuff and the EV ETX.
