Smaart is really good for doing a system health check at setup. With practice this can be done in minutes, in many cases using the mixer itself as the interface and a cheap measurement mic. Better than realizing 10 minutes into the show that something sounds “off”. Quick verification and adjustment of sub alignment can be done at the same time. Using the mixer’s output delay for this avoids fiddling with system processor settings.

There are other, perhaps better, tools for “laboratory” measurements, such as developing processor settings, speakers, or room acoustics. I got started with ARTA for that and like it a lot, but surely there are other good alternatives.
