More glad that we experienced the voice of reason and experience that Doug lent to the forum than I might be sad at his passing. Thanks for that Doug.

I didn't know Doug Fowler outside of this venue but I see his passing as a tremendous loss to his family, the professional sound industry, and the ProSoundWeb forum.

I first stumbled/butted into the Live Audio Board discussion group in the late Nineties/early Oughts and Doug had already been active on it for a while, doing good things. Doug always exemplified an admirable combination of knowledge, humor, and non-dickishness. He was an essential part of the forum's growth and maturity, and its continued success is a fine tribute to the man.

Sleep well, Doug.

Yes, as did I.  He and a friend came up to Chicago for a visit and to see a concert or scout some pubs(can't remember at the moment), we met up, went over to the Haymarket neighborhood and talked shop over beers for a couple of hours.

A great loss.

RIP Doug.

I think it's the rare soul here who hasn't learned something from Doug and his anthology of wisdom.

RIP, Doug.

Oh man. I always thought of him as Mr. PSW...though I know he had his hands in many other things. I feel lucky to have been able to interact with him here over the years...such a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Prayers for his family.

I got to meet Doug in Longbeach, CA giving an AFMG Systune training in maybe 2010ish. I have definitely learned a ton from him over the years.  RIP.
