DJ software or audio player with a countdown clock output

(1/1)

LeVan Moxley:
I'm using ProPresenter for any graphics and video we use during service. ProPresenter has an option to put a countdown clock output onto our video monitors that are on stage.  The only thing shown on these monitors is the time of the video counting down to zero along with the actual time, as shown in the image below.  Each time we play a video, the countdown appears on our monitors.  We also have this being fed into our video suite for our director.  This works great and keeps everyone aware of the time left before the next event.

I'm looking for DJ software or a music player that is capable of this same thing.  I need a countdown clock of the current audio track that is playing on our computer.  Does anyone know of any music software that will do this?

Serato software with a Serato Remote license will show elapsed and remaining time on IOS but there is no dedicated output to show a timer.

Most video playout programs will do this for audio files, as well.

Playback Pro+ (and the new “X” variant, as well as the rest of it’s suite) will do it, and I’m pretty sure Mitti, Qlab will Millumin also. You could check out Resolume and Isadora if media server type stuff is helpful.

I think Virtual DJ has a broadcast skin that will output timers on its video out, if nothing else is present.  Probably other DJ software that deals with video as well.  The trick is finding a skin, or somebody that can design on, that does exactly what you are looking for.  The forums for each software would help you find someone, if needed.
