"Full screen" appears not to be full screen
« on: July 13, 2022, 12:41:56 PM »

We have a Mac mini connected to an Epson Laser projector using HDbaseT.  I am not sure of the specific model.  We typically use ProPresenter for media. We have the mini configured with 3 "monitors" one of which is the projector.  I do not understand ow, when we setup the projector using on board test screens, the projector fills the screen properly.  Then, if I take a window to the projector and go full screen it fills the screen as expected.  That all seems normal-but then I have some pictures-or this last week a cell phone video that I converted from .wmv to .mp4 to use in PP-that will splash above and below the screen.  How is this even possible?

Does the projector aspect setting match the native aspect ratio of your projector, and do those match the aspect ratio of the screen? My guess is that your projection screen is 16:9, and the projector is set to display 16:9, but the native aspect ratio of the projector is 16:10 (usually called "wide").
