Most of the 2451 turned into 2453 at one point.  I have some old Srx725 that use 2453, but also 2 pairs that use 2453.

Diaphragm kits for 2453 is much more reasonably priced.

Here is a link to a legit JBL 2451 diaphragm, less than a $100 to your door.
https://www.fullcompass.com/prod/028280-jbl-d8r2450-diaphragm-for-2447h-2446h-2451h

The prices you posted are the complete driver, still too expensive.

Have you had a chance to test the driver to be sure?

Here's one on Reverb that is available.

Ugggh!  I guess Harman wants these boxes to be retired.  The repair part  is what I paid for the whole box.  Don't quite get the diaphragm kit price.  Here is what JBL pro support sent me:

According to the SRX722 technical manual, the correct replacement driver is 2451H-1, available from our Pro Parts dept.:
Driver
Part#: 352274-001X
Desc: S/M, 2451H-1
Cost: $1,512.45 ea.
In stock

Diaphragm kit
Part#: 352274-001X
Desc: S/M, 2451H-1
Cost: $1,512.45 ea.
Out of stock.  Delivery estimate: 6-8 weeks

They clearly quoted you for the entire driver twice, not for just the Diaphragm kit.  The kit is available on jblparts.com for under $100.  Yes, the prices for just the driver are silly insane.

The whole drivers can be found on eBay from time to time for ~$100-150 ish.  I picked up 6 2451J's last year and saw some 2451H's out there as well.

That cost has got to be a typo? Regardless, it looks like the genuine JBL diaphragms for your drivers are out of stock across the board.

Two options, if you need immediate replacements would be:

1) Search for used, but good, JBL 2446H 2447H 2445H 2450H 2451H 2452H drivers (diaphragms are interchangeable)

or

2) Purchase aftermarket diaphragm kits to get you by. Some are going to be better than others, but desperate times...

I've purchased from this ebay seller before, with good results, but have no first-hand experience with the diaphragms in question. Proceed at your own risk:

Replacing the diaphragm is easy (around 15 min) and they aren't that expensive.  Those SRX722's are well worth keeping in good working order.  Loved the sound and output those speakers were capable of.  The entire SRX7XX line was pretty darned good, but I think that the 722's were my favorite from an output and sound quality POV (when used over subs).

Kinda big and heavy for a bar band, but man, I have seen 4 of em over 3ea 728's (2 per side) cover a good sized outside gig.  Not bad for a non-line array.

Sadly, while their performance is amazing, that not being a line array impacts the sale ability of the rig.

Thanks for the responses.  Good to know replacing  the compression diaphragm is potentially something I could reasonably do myself.  Ha- not like that re-cone I attempted on an 18" sub.  That required some knowledge and precision that I sadly lack and I made a mess of it.

I did try to test the speaker with a tone generator in my basement, sweeping full range in passive mode and then switching to bi-amp and focusing especially in the crossover area and up.   I couldn't really hear anything that seemed off other than what sounded like some "wavering" at higher frequencies.  It is tough to tell in my basement as there is so much stuff down there that starts vibrating when I turn up the SPL.

I took the compression driver out anyway to see if there might be something obvious, like a cracked horn or a wasp nest in there (true story for another time).  But it all looked good.

I did find about 4 machine screws mounting one of the 12" cones that were fairly loose so I tightened those up.  Well that appears to have been enough to cause the problem because after using the speaker in anger all weekend the issue seems to been resolved - no more crackling or breakup.

Looks like I dodged a bullet on this one.  I guess I'll go through all the boxes and check for loose screws now.

Mike, this may surprise you, but leaking air can sound like a blown speaker.  I once replaced a speaker and left the grill off when testing.  The 1/4 X 20 tee-nut holes that held the grill made it sound like the voice coil was rubbing.  Even a single hole left "unplugged" would cause noise.  These holes were next to a 6" diameter vent.  The holes made a noise when the vent didn't.

Yea a loose screw, loose part on a crossover ect. can sound like a bad driver
at certain frequencies.
