Minimalist com earset plans
« on: June 28, 2022, 03:10:29 PM »

Did this for a show recently because I don't need to talk much (if ever) and have a large skull.

Known to work with Freespeak, likely will work with other modern beltpacks.

I've been making some com headsets using a Shure WH20 and some cheap t.bone (Thomann brand) in-ears and one of our stage techs thought having glasses and
a headset was a bit to bulky.

Small update now that the season for this is approaching.

I've started adding a very small (<100pF) capacitor between pins 1 and 2.  Keeps noise from RF out of the audio path, kind of important when you're attaching things to a transmitter.
