DC Sound Op did an overview of the Mars T1000 unit but I haven't seen anything on the Solidcom M1

There seem to be a few reviews on YouToob.  The 4-reciever looks interesting for my video stuff.

As nice as it seems, the M1 is too expensive for my use, but I found a deal on a T1000 set and ordered it.

Still trying to understand the real differences between their products other than range.
Because the M1 lists sidetone as a "feature", I gotta think that the other products don't have sidetone. Some wouldn't care but that's a showstopper for me.

This review of the "older" system specifically mentions lack of sidetone. Supposed to be "fixed with an upcoming firmware update"

There's a couple other gotchas buried in this review, but it's hard to know for sure how much different the new system is.

It appears the M1 sound quality is improved.  Three channels, eight remotes. Also it comes with a charger stand and extra batteries.  The headphone / mic looks more robust also.  Connections to other com systems.

Tim, the 'deal' I got was an open box thing.  Saved a couple hundred.

Anyone have any experience co-locating these systems near Bolero or FSII systems? Could be an excellent way of giving less expensive single channel packs to runners/hangers-on, but I suspect they might not handle frequency hopping in the 1.9 band as elegantly as the two more expensive versions…

Just got the T1000.  Looks quite nice.  Haven't played with them yet, other than box opening fondlement.  Didn't come with a case like the Solidcomm:-[, so I have to make one.

Not a great sign that I e-mailed the company a while ago asking what the differences were between their various products and.... crickets.

Anyone know what the difference are other than the range and possible sidetone?
