Onyx / MPC on a Surface Pro
« on: October 20, 2021, 12:29:15 PM »

I am curious if anyone has experience running Onyx on a MS Surface Pro tablet?

I have a bigger PC setup for times I can justify it but would like to scale down for shows with more basic lighting needs.

Currently I use Luminair  3 for easier shows. But I change fixture deployment a lot and seem to have to build shows almost from scratch every time with Luminair. And then, of course, it has a lot of limitations compared to Onyx.

What would be the minimum level of Surface Pro you would consider using?

Something like a used Surface Pro 3 in a basic configuration with MY3 or I3 or I5 processor , 4GB ram, 128 disk, and windows 10 pro would be in the price range of what I wanted to spend.  ($150?)
