Fulcrum used to have self powered versions of their stuff as standard offerings.  While they are not standard, they can still be special ordered.

Sadly the DSP and amplifier module used in most of the powered offerings is EOL per the vendor. We have been forced to remove the special order option as well.

GLL files work with the free version of EASE, which is called EASE Focus 3.

Note that GLL files must be specifically licensed by the manufacturer for use in EASE Focus 3. Many companies choose to license only their line array offerings, as adding a whole slew of "point source" boxes adds up $$ very quickly. Speaking for Fulcrum specifically, all our products are licensed for Focus.

This page is an overview of what manufacturers support Focus to at least some extent.  It may be two boxes, it may be 75.

Pretty sure the GX line is the only subseries that uses ceramic drivers. CX, CCX, and DX all use neo if I recall. Perhaps I can summon Rich for clarification on this as well as to their powered product offering.

GX line uses ceramic coaxes. CX line uses neo coaxes.  DX using neo coaxes and ceramic woofers.  None of these products come with handles or pole cups, but we have installed them in DX in the past on special request. We're frankly not fans of the practice however, as DX was designed to only ever be an installation product. The internal panel separating coax and woof chambers lies in the space a well-balanced handle should be placed.

Some customers like to use CX live with the optional yoke bracket and a pole mount adapter such as the K&M 24281.

Going from an MI JBL box to another MI JBL box of the same series - isn't much of a step up.  Or going from MI of any brand to another MI from another brand.

Fulcrum, Danley, TW Audio, d&b, etc - would be a step up.

Dare I say L' Acoustics X series. You can get the X12 or X15 and an amp for just over that budget. Or you can get the X15HiQ?

Such sad news!  I do miss my old FA22ac and kick myself for selling them when I "retired".

Stepping up from a 2 way 12" box to a 3 way 15" box IS a step up in my opinion.

I would like to avoid passive speakers for having to haul 1 amp around.

My current system consists of JBL SRX828SP subs and RCF NX12SMA for monitors.

db tech Ingenia IG3T...  just ordered a set from Mike Pyle.  I would suggest researching that box, your budget isn't too far off 2 per side and theses are made to array vertically...

Yeasterday I fired up a Yamaha DZR-315 on top of 2 QSC KW-181's   That was pretty cool.  The DZR's punch hard.

Once you get your IG3T's can you compare them against the DZR315?
