I used my DSR112's with PRX718's, SRX818's, SRX828's and Turbosound IQ18 - all powered subs.
Each time I tried the HP filter in the tops compared to the bottoms and I went with what sounded best for each system. D- Contour DEFINITELY OUT!

I’ve used my DSR-112 over one DSL TH-118. dbx 260 processor, crossed at 104Hz. HPF engaged, D-Contour definitely out.

That sounds about right.  It depends on the tune of course if you have the system eq tilted to the low end that will raise the crossover point so you may end up around 90.

+/- 10hz you can do it by ear.  If you send too much low end to the DSR's they will let you know!

The PRX618/718/818's I believe all have a crossover out of 90 Hz.  I run the DSR112's in full range, but only send them the 90Hz and above signal.

I think it likely that a well setup cross-over set around 100-110 feeding both the subs and the tops would likely be a bit better; however, it is hard to get over the simplicity of just using the internal x-over in the subs ;)

Perhaps I am just a little on the lazy side.

Not sure about lazy...  we generally have to balance budget, effort/time/pack/schlep and sound quality,  no?

but I can seem me being bugged by a 8 or 10db hole between 100 and 120.  Then agin maybe I can make that up in EQ and get by ... otherwise I'm either pulling a mini drive from one of my FOH racks or buying a Venue 360 earlier than I really wanted to...

My conclusion after comparing using the HP filter in the DSR112 with the HP filter in the PRX718XLF, was that the sub HP at 90Hz sounded best.

Combined with the HP in the DSR I expect ?
