Martin Magnum 2500 troubleshooting
« on: September 22, 2021, 04:48:55 PM »

I pulled this out of storage after several years and fired it up. It doesn't seem to be getting warm to the touch and the green "Ready" indicator light is flashing two bursts, which according to the manual means fluid-out error, however the fluid reservoir is full. The red "Heat" indicator is also flashing one time on and off.

Any advice?

Could a moderator help me with the change? I can't seem to figure out how to do it. My name is Billy Hubbell.

Thanks!

I figured out how to change my username. Anyway, I am new to the forum. Regarding my hazer, I pulled the cover off and got rid of lots of dust. I powered it on and the heat exchanger is getting warm:)

However, when i press the fog button on the controller no fluid moves through the line. I am guessing there is a clog. Would you agree? That might explain why i am getting the no fluid warning. Any advice on how to clean the lines?

Also, any idea what it means when the Heat light flashes continuously?

Thanks!

Fluid is not getting to the heater due to a clogged nozzle/tube. Clean and/or replace. Have fun.
Do not widen the nozzle orifice size.

Thank you all for the help. I have the tubing and pump all taken off and am cleaning it. the copper tubing that goes into the heat exchanger seems harder to figure out how to remove. Is this something i should break down as well and clean?

I would also like to test the pump while it is out. Any advice on how to do that?

Hi ya'll. I'm back again. So I removed the plastic tubing and pump and cleaned and tested. Pump works. Therefore, i believe the blockage is in the copper tubing within the block. I spoke to a tech support guy at Martin yesterday and he said they have tried using things like guitar string to clear the blockage but have mostly been unsuccessful if the solution has crystalized.

A new heater block is pretty pricey and they are out of stock for the foreseeable future. Any tips or advice on how to clear the metal tubing? Any chemical remedy?

So I ordered a new heater block from Martin and installed it. Haze is going but it won't stop. Lol. Please see attached video and help if you can.

Thanks!
