Generic Covers?
« on: June 22, 2021, 01:04:00 pm »

Hey Gang.  I hope this finds all of you well, working,  and making money again.  And speaking of spending money,  do any of you use generic speaker covers?  I don't need the High-End, High Dollar, Gonna be in the rain & weather Under Cover things. Just some generic Gator type things for some newer speakers that only go out once in a while.  Are they worth the money? How is the build quality?  Just looking to keep things nice.  BTW, the speakers in question are JBL PRX 18's & 12's.

Many thanks.

The generic "JBL Bags" are actually "Generic" Gator covers - says so on their website.  They're not the best covers out there, but they work fine.

I have a few gator covers in my inventory, no real complaints, they are decently well made.

For protection against minor dings and scratches in transportation, just about any cover will do the job.  Heavier padding doesn't make a ton of difference.  If the cases leave access to the speaker handles, they don't really take all that much abuse, and even the cheapest would likely last quite a while.

Good day.  I think that Connie's Covers provides a nice quality for a fair price.
They are on Facebook :)
