Small Powerd speakers suggestions
« on: April 04, 2011, 08:31:38 PM »

Im looking for a set of decent powered speakers perhaps 8" or 10" would like to stay in the $200 to $250 range if possible. I have a db 12" powered sub. I mainly use my laptop as my music source and ocassionally an acoustic guitar. Usually just 1 singer and ocassionally 2 singers max. Venue size about 150 max. Thanks for suggestions. Was thinking about Berhiniger powered 8" or 10"

Just to verify, that is $200 to $250 each and not for a pair, correct?  Do you also need stands and cables included within that budget?

There really isnt anything good in the $200 to $250 each Powered speaker price range. Certainly nothing anyone is going to recomend. You might be able to find some used JBL eon's for that.

Agreed. Perhaps for the size gigs you say, a single, better quality speaker might do the job?

Well, if that is the case, then you cant go wrong with the ZXA1. They are super small and have a lot of output for their size.
