Church Livestream Audio Problem
« on: June 06, 2021, 04:56:56 PM »

Hey Everyone,
My church has been having some issues with our livestream audio the last couple weeks...I just can't figure out what the problem is. It sounds kind of like it is underwater or maybe phasing issues.
Here are a couple videos so you can hear
https://youtu.be/dIfoK2RVy4U (this is before issue began)
https://youtu.be/mFov0yhXM2c (this is video with bad audio)

Anyone have any ideas?
We are currently running audio in stereo from Behringer X32 into Atem Mini Pro...this is running into Mac and then to YouTube through OBS...we are also using blackmagic design software for video overlay and things. I have updated firmware on Atem Mini Pro. Also, audio sounds great when monitoring livestream bus on X32...so seems like the problem is Atem Mini or software related.

If you haven't solved this already, you can try adjusting some settings in the ATEM software control. If you hit the settings cog on the bottom left of the screen, go to the audio tab, make sure the mic inputs are split into two mono channels.
Then go out of those settings and into the audio mixer page. Then down either the left of right channel of the mic one input. If you're using both mic inputs, you'll probably have to do that to the second mic input as well.

Also, if you can test on an "off day" try sending just 1 channel of audio from the mixer to one channel of the web and see how it sounds. Report back with results.

It sounded like the first video with the good audio was getting a stereo mix.

The second video there are some phase issues going on.
Did you change the connection into the Mini or routing on the board?

The audio input on the Mini is TRS stereo, if you send it a balanced line
connection on the TRS input you will phase cancellation issues.

Are you taking audio from any of the camera inputs?
