^^^ Renting various generators is great advice.  I moved through a few before ending up with what works for my situation.

My goto generator for small PA/DJ is a Honda EB2800i that's sized well for the task and quiet.  I usually put a flat cart on it's side in front of the generator and if it's 75' or more away is inaudible.
