QL5 Gain Help
« on: March 28, 2021, 05:57:49 PM »

I am having trouble getting a good clean audio signal from my Shure ULX to the Ql5. On the ULXp4 Receiver I am showing great levels, but on the Yamaha QL5 I can barley get -60 DB. If I bring up the gain, it starts to sound terrible. I have tried on multiple microphones. Any help is appreciated.

Do you by chance have the gain selector on the Receiver set to Mic? If so, quickly and assuredly switch it to Line. The QL has no problem making anything sound good, so it is either the mic, or the receiver. In this case, I would bet the gain selection switch on the back of the receiver is set to mic. Switch it to line and report back.
