Hello,

Is Adamson the only manufacturer these days that are using Lake Lab Gruppen processing on their current line of products?

Cheers

I suspect that now Behringer (or what ever the parent company is called) owns Lab Gruppen, people have moved, or are moving away from them.  :(

Clair used a fair amount of Labs in their day such that they've been selling off some PM20Ks over the last year. No idea if thats a move away from Lab as a brand or simply cycling out unneeded inventory.

Unless they're about to announce a big change, I'd guess it's inventory cycling. Their StakRak literature (which powers, among other things, their Cohesion arrays) only mentions PLM amps. (Cool rack design, too.)

Clair
Adamson
Turbosound
Tannoy
Kling & Freitag
TW Audio
Last time I checked you could load EAW Greyboxes into PLM amplifiers, but it's been a few years since I did this.

We changed speaker systems and are currently transitioning to Martin Ikon (Linea Research).  I have a number of PLM20ks for sale if you are looking.

For whatever it is worth Fulcrum provides full, FIR-based preset support for PLM+ and D Series amplifiers using Lake Controller v7.0 or higher. Presets are in the latest LoadLibrary.

Sorry, I forgot to include you on the list I made. My bad :)

Any plans for a Norwegian distributor in the near future so we can check out your products?
I've heard nothing but great things from people with ears I trust.

Going back to Linea Research, Steve?  Are they getting more prevalent on this side of the pond?

The Turbosound RACK DP50 (Linea Research XiB4) amps I got from you are doing a stellar job on wedges.  Or, at least, they were before the pandemic.

Hi Dave.

Looking at Linea Research's website it appears they are OEMing amps for about 30 different companies.  Some of the more recognized names here in the states are EAW, Danley, Martin, Function One.

We still have a fair number of PLM 10ks and 20ks in our monitor racks.  With our move to Martin Wavefront Precision systems all of our house racks are now Martin iKon IK42 amps.  These are OEMed by Linea Research and are based on their 44M20 amplifiers.  I am told the DSP has been substantially boosted in order to provide the processing necessary to implement up to 1000 FIR filters per channel.  Crazy stuff.
