Dolby Dante ?
« on: December 23, 2020, 02:54:40 AM »

Other than the Marantz AV7705/6 what is available that will take HDMI in..strip out and decode and give me balanced outputs..ideally in Dante.
As a Dolby dealer i asked if we could see the Lake processor as a pro decoder...was told it was on the list.
Discontinuation was higher up that list

Seems like something QSys could do. I haven’t looked into it too close though.

Since you mentioned a consumer AVR I’m going to assume this is not for the cinema market.  Consumer AVRs are the standard decoder method which sucks.  However, extron is supposed to release the SSP-200 in January which should provide a real pro-level decoding solution.  If you add one of their processors you can do increased atmos channels and Dante.

I’ve got one on order.
