A Proper Acknowledgement of Radio Frequency Coordinators
« on: December 16, 2020, 10:10:28 PM »

First of all, point your browsers right now to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9JvdZ_Jzi0&feature=emb_imp_woyt.  If you're "in the biz" in any capacity, then you need to see what's going on here.  RIGHT NOW.

This is a shout of of love from me to our friend and colleague, Austin Dudley, a great RF Tech & superb RF Coordinator, who appeared on the show and gave the first proper internationally webcast acknowledgement of the suffering of we RF Coordinators who have lost all of our regular work since March 2020.  We are the guys who are admittedly annoying at times, but are absolutely the difference between a show being an amateurish joke of audio garbage, and a show being a perfect sounding model of perfection.  We work to help everyone involved with the production that we are trusted with.  Yet we have been utterly forgotten and ignored by the masses possessing purses with ability to help us.  Hell, most of our industry still has no clue what we are, what we do, or why on Earth they might hire us.  Until Austin spoke up and was acknowledged tonight.  Kudos to him.

It has been made private and thus not viewable (without an invitation?)

It was a live webcast from The Ryman to solicit donations to fund The Roadie Clinic, MusiCares, and the CMA Foundation.  The show was created, organized, and run by touring professionals to help those in need.  A ton of my friends worked the gig for free, and the awesome Lawrence "Filet" Mignogna paid big $ out of his own pocket to make it happen.  I hope they'll eventually rerun it.

FWIW, the set had video display behind the host, that constantly scrolled job titles of those who work shows.  "RF Coordinator" rolled by all night with the rest.  Pretty cool.
