RGBAW Moving Wash
« on: April 04, 2011, 11:37:13 AM »

is there anything out there on the market yet? I haven't been able to find anything, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist

preferably something with motorized zoom as well...

even RGBW would be good enough, I just dislike the pink and/or blue white you typically get out of LEDs

I've actually found several 4 color led washes, but no 5s :| any of the 4s with motorized zoom are also incredibly expensive.

Then there's the JB A7's, which are only WA or RGB.  It'd be nice if they combined them somehow...

You should take a look at the A12 or even the A8. They are RGBW, 8-48deg zoom, and hide the color mixing behind a lens. (No "lite-brite" effect)

The A12 is comparable in output to a MAC2K wash, even in full-open white.

The A12 should start shipping in the next weeks, while the A8 will be available this fall.

Have fun!

I think they would be much too bright for my venue, although I'd love to have them...what's the price point on the a8s like?

Hi James,
I received an email last week from this company. I have no affiliation with them and don't know how they get my email address! A good marketting department I guess!
These things are cheap, under $1k usd, but I have no idea of the quality. They could be a bargain but there is no way to know unless you are prepared to order one to try. I think you should get one so you can tell me if they are any good.  ;)

their LED movers don't zoom, and the smallest beam angle available is 15 degrees...won't fit the application
