Are they going to shoot the video and up load it directly from their phone, or stream it live from their phone or are all the videos going to be edited at one central location and then uploaded?
If the videos are all going to be edited and or archived at a central location I'm thinking kind of along Brian's suggestion only get a consumer camcorder, small tripod and an external lapel mic. Camcorders would use a standard 3.5mm connection not the TRRS 3.5 that phones have.
If they are going to use phones for their video tell them to turn the phone horizontal when recording!!!!!
Is this a one time project or will it be an ongoing with new videos every few days?
How professional are they expecting "more professional" to be?
