I need some help compiling a list of 6 - 12 channel mixer/ interfaces for web broadcast and teaching purposes. I'll be working with a fairly basic three mic set up for a drum set; there is already an AKG D112 for a bass drum but I'll also need advice for two overhead condenser mics. Has anyone any ideas?

I find Beyer MC930s to be a good balance of price to performance.

Are you looking for a mixer or an interface? Very different things, but some devices bridge the gap.

For the Overheads - Earthworks SR25

Pretty much everything has a USB interface on it, these days. I like the Soundcraft Signature Series on the low end.

I agree on the Soundcraft Sig series for a $300 mixer with good USB capability...and you get 6-8 XLR mic pres etc.

Allen Heath ZED mixers come in many sizes most with USB IO.
