I need to replace an SK100 transmitter for an old Sennheiser EW100 G2 system.
Does anyone know if a new SK100 G4 will work with the older G2 receiver?

I searched but didn't find a reference here or with Sennheiser.

Best thing to do would be to contact Sennheiser and ask.

That being said, while I haven't tried it, I can't imagine it being a problem. Certainly used a lot of G2 and G3 stuff together (in both directions), and my understanding is that G4 is no different.

I have g4 transmitters and just picked up a used g2 receiver beltpack.  They work fine together. 

All that Sennheiser stuff is cross-generation compatible.

It's been a long time, but if my recollection is correct, G1 is a bit different. I think it uses a different pilot tone (or something like that). It can be made to work, but I don't think it's quite what I'd call "cross-compatible", at least not in the same way that G2-G4 are. Then again, I could be remembering wrong; I haven't had to work with a G1 in a while.

The G1 was cr*p anyway, the G2/G3/G4 was a significant improvement, is best to avoid any G1!
