Cyclic popping from DBX Zonepro 1060M
« on: August 05, 2020, 04:36:02 pm »

The problem was reported following a power surge after hours.  Assuming they followed protocol, the unit would have been off.  The unit is powered through a conditioner / suppressor that would also be powered down.  The popping cycles at approximately 1 pulse / sec and registers on the output meter of channel 1.  The other 5 channels are fine.  Channels 1-5 were connected to their respective amps.
It has been in daily operation since 2014.  I have switched thing around to eliminate ch 1 from routings.
The pops seem to be full spectrum (boom & tick).
Probably no repair will be planned for a while (if ever), but what is the most likely cause for this symptom?  Local repair shop or factory service required?

Thanks,
David

Consider yourself lucky it's only one channel....for now, and your were able to re-configure the routing to channel 6.

Do you have the config backed up on your computer?
It's a long shot but it maybe worth doing a full hard reset and reloading the config.

If need be I would send it to DBX.

Had an amp do that once.  That is what I assumed it to be.  Thanks.

It is hard to remember after all these years, but I assume I do.  I'll connect and download next time I'm there to be safe, and try a reset.
