Sennheiser IEM transmitter to EK100 camera receiver
« on: August 04, 2020, 11:32:54 AM »

Ok so I have the IEM transmitter and I need a ek100 beltpack camera receiver.  The transmitter box is stereo, but the recovery pack is mono (right?).

Will this work?  Will I have any issues with mono/stereo at either end?  Do I need to use the IEM recover pack instead?

Plan is to run output of mixer into the IEM transmitter box, and plug beltpack battery receiver into a camera.

Please and thanks,

I have sent from IEM Tx to multiple Rx rackmount units on remote speakers with no problems.
I didn't have to do anything weird, it just worked.
If the camera is stationary, you could do that, rather than get the ENG Rx pack.

Do you split out the Left and Right signals to feed the speaker?
1/8" TRS take TS to 1/4" mono, or RS to 1/4" Mono?

Ya, Whatever. Just throw a '57 on it, and get off my stage.

You'll have to turn off pilot tone on the receiver.  Probably best to set the transmitter to mono mode as well.

With a couple of adapters you could just use the IEM receiver pack at the camera.

My IEM systems get used for remote audio links as much as they do for actual IEM use.

I have the SR300 iem transmitter but no beltpack receivers.

The plan is to put battery receiver on camera of course.  So the question is - can I make this work with (less expensive) EK100 or do I need to spend the extra on a IEM receiver?
