I've used the Alto for a couple years...has held up well, runs reliably...fidelity loss of course relegates it to exactly what you are asking about...background music.
I mean you can eq/beef up the audio enough that the average client might not notice it for dance stuff, but I wouldn't make it my primary signal.

pricey, but I had already owned one of the dongles at the time, just to offer up some other wireless handheld options from vocalists who wanted a certain mic.. I can pull whatever from my box and make it wireless, but putting one of the dongles into the main-out of the mixer and then a belt pack receiver at the powered speaker..yeah...gold !!
